Amanda has two precious K-9 girls, and they are her world. A self proclaimed “crazy doggie Mom,” Amanda spoils and adores her Wheaten Terriers Lucy and Kellie. Lucy is the young one, who patrols the house to keep it safe from birds and chipmunks. Kellie is soon to be 13 years old, and despite being diagnosed with an inoperable tumor, is still full of energy on most days. I had so much fun during this shoot with Amanda, Lucy, and Kellie-what a beautiful family they make
LUCY:
Named after Lucille Ball, Lucy is often referred to as Lucifer, Deputy Dog, Ruce, Fifi, Root, Piglet, Pork Chop, Jaws, Mother Theresa, Book End, and the #4. Lucy’s name from the breeder is Trigo Feliz Navidad because she was born on Christmas day and came from Trigo (Wheaten in Spanish) Kennel. What a wonderful Christmas present for Amanda and Kellie!
Lucy is a soft coated gray Wheaten Terrier. Besides patrolling the house, she spends her days scavenging for food, hiding under drapes and table cloths, looking out the window, and laying on the back deck. Lucy is nicknamed Jaws because she is THE boss of her sister Kellie and cousin Emmie, but don’t let her fool you. She is as sweet as they come!
KELLIE:
Kellie also has a lot of nicknames: Monster Dog, #2, Kell-Kell, Bellie, Bellie Monster, and Bellie Butt. She is a mahogany soft coated Wheaten Terrier who loves to roll around and take laps outside for no reason! She hates storms and fireworks (like many dogs I know), but loves spending her time taking naps with her Great Grandma Hazel. This “senior citizen” has one other guilty pleasure…McDonald’s French Fries!!!
