SqueakDog Pet Photography: Yes you CAN rescue a purebred!

Often times when encouraging people to adopt a pet from LUV A DOG or a local shelter, I get the reply “I’m really looking for a purebred dog.” Well, here is PROOF that there are great purebreds in rescue groups and shelters who need good homes. Meet Eisley, a Shiba Inu, and Finn, an Airedale Terrier. Both of these cuties were rescue pups, and landed in one of the best homes in town with Casey & Dave.

Casey & Dave are the proud parents of FOUR dogs, and they are active Foster Parents for LUV A DOG Rescues and Adoptions. In short, these two adore dogs and truly love giving back to the K-9 community. Enjoy getting to know two of their babies below.

FINN:

This 6 year old boy from Kentucky “will work for treats.” When not “working” he is busy snuggling, enjoying car rides, going for walks, and hanging out at the dog park. Finn likes to make his mom and dad laugh, and will sometimes go between peoples legs over and over again as a silly trick. He’s a lover, too, as you’ll see in the photos below. And how adorable is his fluffy muzzle and are his equally as fluffy legs?!

I learn something new every day. Apparently Mos Eisley is a planet on Star Wars, and is where this cuddly Shiba Inu got her name! (Maybe I need to go to the movies more often?) Also known as Eisley Mae and Mae Mae, this girl loves to look out the window and play with rope bones. She celebrates her birthday on Halloween-maybe she could go as a fox this year!

I love this! My precious rescue dog, Thurman, is a purebred beagle. He came from Indianapolis Animal Care and Control. The purebreds are all over shelters, just waiting for someone to scoop them up!
