When I come back, I want to be one of her dogs!

Lisa LOVES her babies, TOKA and Misty…I mean LOVES them! Besides the way she dotes on her beautiful dogs, you can just tell by the way she looks at them. These dogs are well trained and sweet, and it’s obvious that Lisa has spent a great deal of her time making sure these dogs have the best life possible.  If  I come back to this earth someday, I would be LUCKY to be one of her dogs:)Not only is Lisa a wonderful dog Mom, she shares her passion for these incredible creatures by helping out at Camp Bow Wow Dog Day Care and Boarding in Carmel. Lisa is also a member of the International Association of Animal Massage & Bodywork/Association of Canine Water Therapy, and has an MS in Exercise Physiology as well as an MS in OTR Occupational Therapy.  Her company, Fitness 4 Paws Health Promotions, specializes in canine therapeutic massage, myofascial release, corrective exercises for active and geriatric canine clients, neuromuscular re-education, electrical modalities for pain, adpative equipment, splinting and bracing, Dog First Aid and CPR (The American Red Cross). Wow…now you know why her dogs are in such great hands!!

It was a pleasure to meet you, Lisa, and to get to know your wonderful fur-kids TOKA & Misty!

MISTY:

Misty, nicknamed Mitty or Sissy, was named after Keady. Keady was one of Lisa’s shelties that had passed away. Keady’s mom was named Misty, and since Lisa got “misty eyed” when she thought about Keady, and how she would love her next sheltie, the name stuck! Misty is a two year old Sable Sheltie that Lisa rescued from a puppy mill in St. Louis. For some reason the evil puppy mill owners cut off Misty’s tail, but it’s obvious she doesn’t notice by the way she prances around like a proud puppy! Her favorite things to do are snuggle, run with her brother TOKA, and chew. Sometimes she goes into her mom’s purse to chew on her lip gloss, but otherwise she stays out of trouble. Misty is an expert agility jumper as you’ll see in one of the photos below.  Her super long tongue is hysterical and tended to hang out a lot during our shoot. She is also sweet, sweet, sweet!!

TOKA:

A border collie from southern Indiana, this 6 year old boy also answers to Tok or Tokie. He LOVES to fetch tennis balls and do agility jumping like his sister. You should see him when he’s waiting for a tennis ball to be thrown-he is VERY focused! TOKA (his name is spelled with all caps!) loves to herd his toys which certainly makes total sense for a border collie. He is a Purdue fan (okay, I didn’t hold that against him!) and will give a “high five” if you say Boiler Up! Although he is a little shy at first, once you get to know this smart boy, he will be your best pal.

Your pictures are stunning. They get better all the time, and it’s REALLY nice to see green grass and trees.
